Up Next: Lorain County Speedway

After fighting the car all night at Barberton, finishing 7th in the heat and 13th in the feature, we are ready to move on to Lorain County Speedway Saturday, May 30. I've made some chassis adjustments that will hopefully get rid of the loose condition I've been dealing with.

It's also Family Night at Lorain - 2 Adults and 3 Kids for $25 & 5 Hot Dogs and 5 Fountain Drinks - which is sure to bring families to the track. Hope to see you there!

Craig Schmidt Racing

Craig Schmidt has raced stock cars in the NE Ohio area since 1996. From 1996-1999, Craig won 15 races in Monte Carlo SS and Malibu Trophy Stock cars at Painesville Speedway, finishing second in Trophy Stock points in 1999. During the 2000-2001 seasons, Craig raced in the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series Grand National Division at Lorain County Speedway in South Amherst, OH and won 4 races.

Health issues prevented Craig's return to racing in 2003. With the health issues resolved, Craig raced a partial schedule in the Northern Ohio Legends Series in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Craig raced the full season in 2009, finishing 9th in the final overall point standings, and 4th in the Masters Division.

In addition to running the full schedule in 2010, Craig has been named President & Promoter of the series, now with a title sponsor and renamed "TeleCommunity Credit Union Legends." He will continue to maintain the series website, www.northernohiolegends.com .
